Splash Dive Center offers entry level certification courses for recreational divers wishing to utilize a semi-closed circuit rebreather (Dräger Atlantis I, Dolphin, and Ray).
Splash offers these courses for either PADI or TDI certification, at the diver's choice.
Course Objectives
This course trains the recreational diver in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for using rebreathers. Upon successful completion, graduates may engage in diving activities utilizing a semi-closed circuit rebreather to a maximum depth of 130 fsw / 39.6 msw.
Student Prerequisites
- Minimum Age of 15
- PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent
- Minimum certification of Nitrox Diver (may be combined in program)
Required Course Minimums
- Classroom/briefing hours: 6
- Confined/Pool dives: 1
- Open water dives:
- PADI: 3
- TDI: 4 (with a minimum accumulated bottom time of 100 minutes). Instructor training may require additional dives.

- Mastering Rebreathers by Jeffrey E. Bozanic. Best Publishing Company 2002 edition.
- Diver's Log book
- Reference manual, materials (PADI Recommended)
- Dive tables or planner
- One small (4.5 kg) container of Dräger DiveSorb® CO2 absorbent
