Splash Dive Center, Inc. has many certified technicians on staff to handle your needs. In the case of heavy service demands and for brands we do not sell directly, we have a great resource. Airtech, a facility in North Carolina serves as our extended workbench and service department.

Please read our frequently asked questions about gear service.

Gear Assessment

An experienced and certified professional will review any equipment and provide a short written assessment. This can be expected to take 7–9 days.

Annual Service

Regulators

We charge for each stage, parts kits charged as needed. We'll call you first to discuss your options if major work is needed.

BCD Annual Service

As a vital part of your dive gear, BC's can develop leaks or faulty inflator mechanisms if not serviced on a regular basis. Your power inflator contains O-rings that wear out just like the ones in your regulators.

These basic annual services usually take about three weeks. It can take longer if, during service, we determine that we need to custom order a replacement for a part which has worn out. This is not common, but is a possibility for equipment that we do not sell.

Hydrostatic testing

SCUBA cylinders require a hydro test every five years. The process is done by specialized facilities that test the integrity of the cylinder and stamp the outside of the tank with the month and year of completion.

Turnaround time is usually about two weeks.

Visual Tank Inspections

SCUBA cylinders require a visual inspection each year to ensure safety. Certain aluminum cylinders also benefit from an Eddy Current test which is included as appropriate.

This usually takes a week.

SCUBA tank cleaning

We can perform basic cleaning to certify a cylinder for premix, 22-40% O2, all the way through Oxygen cleaning for partial pressure blending or high O2 mixes. Pricing is based upon the service you require.

Cylinder Tumbling

We can remove some interior tank corrosion through this process.

Oxygen Cleaning

There are many myths about O2 cleaning; talk to us to discuss your specific needs.
